To all the newbies who came to our meeting Wednesday, again, “welcome!”
To everyone who was there, “thanks,” and good news: we’ve worked out a system with Shades Valley Community Church so that we can be in the larger room for future meetings.
The larger room has worked extremely well for our group when we’ve used it, giving us a little more room to spread out and work in small groups before and after the main topic.
Here are the Cliff’s Notes about our wraparound sling topic:
How to pre-tie a stretchy wrap: (Instructions from Moby Wrap, including video instructions.)
The basic wrap carry with a woven or stretchy wrap (start wrapping, load the baby, finish wrapping):
How to carry a baby in a beach towel:
The “strap carry,” a good first back carry with a wrap: (Instructions from The Mamatoto Project.)
Different ways to get your baby onto your back: (Instructions from www.wrapyourbaby.com.)
Don’t miss the October 3 meeting. The topic is “baby carriers from around the world.” I’m really excited about it!
And don’t forget our museum tour this upcoming Wednesday and the rest of this month’s events.
