There are lots of ways to tie a mei tai. Here’s a small collection of video instructions and tricks for your inspiration.
First up is Kristen’s rock video, produced by Elizabeth, one of our fantastic members, showing the “Superman” method for getting a baby on your back and also showing how to tie the mei tai with a twist in back for extra support and comfort:

Next is Susie’s method for getting a baby off your back. This works best with a medium-sized baby.

Don’t feel impaired if you can’t do this, but if you have a smallish toddler, a “poppable” back carry is quite a cool trick! First, how to take the toddler out without untying:
