Here’s a really cute way from Hancock Fabric to do a no-sew fleece poncho with fringe. It uses just a yard and a quarter of fleece, so it’s really thrifty, and it’s super simple and quick to make. Do use nice thick fleece, though. I’ve found that plaid is really great for this project because the lines work as built-in cutting guides. I’ve been trying to work out the dimensions for adding a some more fringe seams in connection with a neck hole for the baby, but I’m not quite there. You could simply cut a slit about a foot wide and about 8 inches beneath the main neck hole. Then you’d have a really cute front or back carry poncho, and probably for under $10!
