Being the traditional babywearing geek that I am, I was SHOCKED to have just today stumbled across this blog post with a link to a collection of 185 stunning photos on featuring ethnic baby carriers. Why oh why haven’t I seen this before?! Treat yourself to a few minutes perusing these beautiful images of our babywearing world … you can even view them all as a slideshow, which I highly recommend. Enjoy!
Beautiful!! wow so cool. thanks for sharing.
obviously we are lost here in america? Seems all the so called primative cultures know a thing or two about children. Why are people looked at as strage in our country when they use slings, etc.? Odd.
brenda, I’m really sorry you feel that way. By posting with admiration about ethnic or traditional babywearers, I did not mean to imply that any society or culture is supeior or inferior to another. If you’d like to see a gallery of American babywearers, just take a look at our flickr album. 🙂 We’re beautiful too!
This was so beautiful and inspiring. Their slings were so colorful. Thanks so much for sharing.
